Winter web forum flyer (better late than never)
The partial government shutdown last fall shook up the SECAS web forum schedule, and staff had to make some adjustments. So this flyer for the December, January, and February webinar series is coming out quite late–but hopefully better late than never!

December 11th, 2025 @ 10 am ET: Improvements in Southeast Conservation Blueprint 2025 from the continent to the Caribbean. On a rare second Thursday webinar in December, SECAS Science Coordinator Rua Mordecai shared an update on the latest improvements to the Southeast Blueprint. January 15th, 2026 @ 10 am ET: An under the hood peek of Grasslandia, SGI’s forthcoming “all Things Southeast grasslands” website. In January, a team of three speakers from the Southeast Grasslands Institute (SGI) gave a pre-release tour of “Grasslandia”, reviewing the types of content they’re planning to release and asking for feedback on their interactive maps. February 19th, 2026 @ 10 am ET: Spotlight on grassland and savanna restoration across multiple states. This web forum will feature three speakers from three different state fish and wildlife agencies spotlighting grassland and savanna conservation and restoration efforts across different parts of the Southeast. The final speaker lineup is still being confirmed, but tentatively will represent Georgia, Missouri, and Mississippi.
